Willoughby Summer Concert Series 2010
This year, Willoughby's summer concert series features returning favorites and exciting new performers. The concerts will kick-off on Thursday, July 8 at 7:00 pm and continue on most Thursday nights through August 26. All concerts will be in Wes Point Park Gazebo.
- July 8 – University of Akron Steel Drum Ensemble: The band is comprised of undergraduate and graduate percussion students and instructors dedicated to preserving the music of the Caribbean.
- July 15 – David Sterner Quintet: Performs a wide range of musical styles including blues, swing, funk, and Latin jazz.
- July 22 – The Don Disantis Orchestra: music in the Sinatra “Rat Pack” style.
- July 29 – Heritage Brass Quintet: music from renaissance and classical masterpieces to jazz, pop, and original contemporary sounds.
- August 5 – Lost State of Franklin: down home music with a contemporary twist.
- August 12 – Abbey Rodeo: runs the full gamut of styles between Rock and Roll and country music, including sounds of the 60’s, Hillbilly & Rockabilly, pop, surf, folk, Bluegrass, blues and more.
- August 19 – The Girls Band: brings solid 3-part harmonies and unique musical and rhythmical arrangements to rock, pop, R&B, and country music.
- August 26 – Cats On Holiday: a hard-rocking, swamp-popping band serving up a healthy dose of American influenced roots, country, Cajun, and blues.
