Holiday Lighting Celebration & Weekend Events

Get into the holiday spirit and join us in Downtown Willoughby for the annual Holiday Lighting Celebration on Thursday, November 30th at 7 pm*. Before we turn on the holiday lights, enjoy sounds of the season from various performers including:

South High Marching Rebels (before ceremony ~ 6:30 pm – 6:45 pm)
Andrews Osborne Students (before ceremony ~ 6:45 pm – 7 pm)
South High Choir
Edison Elementary 3rd Graders
Fine Arts Association
Savelli Dancers
Don Disantis

Additional events Thursday evening include a a Live Nativity, sponsored by Willoughby United Methodist Church from 6 pm – 8 pm. A Spaghetti Dinner hosted by the Willoughby Kiwanis Club at Hope Church in downtown Willoughby from 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm, and the annual Evening Lions Holiday Auction downstairs of City Hall to benefit the Lions Eye Care Program and community service projects starting at 7:45 pm (after the lights).

Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be on stage after the lighting to greet the children. A line will form in front of the Chamber of Commerce building.

FRIDAY | December 1st

4 pm – 8 pm: Downtown Willoughby Holiday Stroll sponsored by the DTW Merchants. Each merchant will have their own holiday special and wonderful ideas for the perfect gift for everyone on you list!

5:45 pm – 7:30 pm: Family Holiday Cookie Decorating at the Willoughby Senior Center. Register Here.

SATURDAY | DECEMBER 2nd

10 am – 5 pm: Downtown Willoughby Merchant Holiday Stroll – Day 2

10 am – 4 pm: Winter Market – Holiday gifts and crafts from some of your favorite Outdoor Market vendors at the former Citizens Bank location (38115 Euclid Ave)

10 am – 2 pm: Holiday-themed information and craft events | Advent: Preparing for Christmas (10am); The Celebration of Hanukkah (11:30 am); The Celebration of Kwanzaa (1 pm)

11 am: Miracle on Erie St 5K – Jog into the holidays with this festive run/walk through the streets of Willoughby. Register Here

SUNDAY | DECEMBER 3rd

9 am – 2 pm: Holiday Craft Fair at the Willoughby Senior Center
9 am – 11 am: Donuts with Santa for children up to 10 years old at the Willoughby Senior Center. Event sponsored by the Willoughby Junior Women’s Club.

SANTA HOUSE: 

Saturdays and Sundays, December 2nd – 23rd from 2 pm – 5 pm.
Non-perishable food items will be collected during these hours to be donated to the McKinley Outreach Center

*Please note that the lights are not turned on at 7pm, but after all of the entertainment. Santa Estimated time for lights is between 7:25/7:30 pm, but it varies slightly each year.
