Northeast Ohio’s Water Quality Management 208 Plan

The City of Willoughby has helped the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) to develop a new regional Water Quality Management Plan as required under Section 208 of the federal Clean Water Act.  This plan is commonly referred to as the region’s 208 Plan.

NOACA Would Like Your Input

NOACA’s current 208 Plan, Clean Water 2000, has not been comprehensively updated in nearly 20 years.  NOACA staff would like to hear from environmentally active citizens, particularly those concerned with water issues; property owners; and developers directly impacted by changes to sanitary sewer plans.  There are two (2) opportunities to provide your input:

  1. NOACA will co-host a Lake County 208 Plan meeting on September 17, 2019 at 7:00 pm at the Lake County Solid Waste District Business Learning Center located at 1981 Blase Nemeth Rd., Painesville, OH  44077.
  2. NOACA staff have developed an online questionnaire to help gather additional input for the new 208 Plan.  The questionnaire should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.    Respondents will remain anonymous. NOACA staff will use your feedback from the public meeting and questionnaire to ensure its 208 Plan addresses important issues that affect you.  Please click on the following link to complete the questionnaire –NOACA’s “208 Public ” Questionnaire.
