Hydrant Flushing
Fire Hydrant Operational Testing
On or about April 1, 2019, the Willoughby Fire Department will begin flushing fire hydrants throughout the City of Willoughby. The flushing will take place Monday through Thursday of each week, weather permitting. The flushing program is projected to last approximately six weeks.
The hydrant flushing program is designed to ensure that the hydrants are in proper working order and that adequate water is available for firefighting purposes.
Residents who experience cloudy or rusty water should allow the cold water to run until clear.
