Fire Hydrant Flushing begins April 1st
WILLOUGHBY FIRE DEPARTMENT / LAKE COUNTY UTILITIES:
On or about April 1st, the Willoughby Fire Dept. will begin flushing fire hydrants throughout the City of Willoughby:

- Flushing will take place Monday through Thursday, weather permitting
- Flushing program is projected to last six weeks
- Signs will be posted in the areas that are to be flushed
- We advise DO NOT do laundry on days that hydrants are flushed. Discolored water may occur, flush lines by allowing cold water to run until clear.
The hydrant flushing program is designed to ensure that hydrants are in proper working order and that adequate water is available for firefighting purposes.
