November 2, 2021 Election Information

The City of Willoughby has (2) proposed tax levy renewals on the November 2, 2021 ballot.

The first levy is a renewal of our General Operating Levy. This .9-mill, five-year levy was initially passed in 1976 and generates about $130,000 per year, with the funds going to support our operating budget.

The second levy is a renewal of our Road and Bridge Levy, originally passed in 2006. This 2-mill, five-year levy generates about one million dollars per year and can only be spent on road and bridge improvements. Our Service Director and City Engineer maintain a master list of all roads within the city and rank them annually. This list determines what roads will be repaired during the summer.

Please note, these renewals will not result in a tax increase. For specific questions, please contact our Finance Director at 440.953.4101.
