The Design Review Board shall review construction, alteration, demolition and signage located with the Willoughby Historic Preservation District. The goal of the Board is to protect and compliment the historic and architectural quality of the area. Board approval is required. Procedures and Board details can be found in Chapter 1347 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Willoughby.

Downtown Willoughby Design Guidelines

The Board is comprised of five members, each appointed by the Mayor and approved by City Council. An effort shall be made to appoint at least two preservation-related professionals such as an architect, historian, and real estate broker. The Design Review Board meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in Council Chambers, located in the lower level of City Hall.
