Osborne Park Re-imagined

On Tuesday, September 28th, the community gathered at Osborne Park to engage and share ideas about a re-imagined Osborne Park shoreline.

The city received a $200,000 EEAG (Emergency Erosion Assistance Grant) from ODNR to design a reimagined lakefront, including erosion repairs and mitigation. Utilizing these funds, we have partnered with Smith Group, a recognized leader in coastal design and engineering. Their team is spread across 15 offices nationwide and enlist a team of 1200 people. This network provides the ability to pull experience resources and leverage the right expertise for a specific project.

The administration and City Council agreed this project should look beyond erosion control and develop a master plan for the Osborne Park shoreline. We expect the plan to be implemented in stages, but the end result would be a new lakefront that engages our residents and provides additional recreational amenities.
