Fall leaf collection is scheduled for October 23rd through the first week of December. Residents are asked to place their loose leaves in piles on the tree lawn area between the street and the sidewalk. Please do not rake or blow leaves into the street where they are a safety hazard and could block drains.
Willoughby Holiday Lights While we are unable to host our traditional Thursday evening holiday lighting celebration this year due to covid-19, our team is still decorating the city for you to enjoy at your leisure from December 2nd through the New Year. Due to the recent change in Lake County’s risk level on the COVID-19 Public Health Advisory System this meeting has been canceled. The City is discussing alternatives and will post updates once a plan is confirmed. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Beginning Monday, August 31st, Rt. 20 (between Erie St and the end of the bridge) will be one lane in each direction as crews remove debris from the river. The work is scheduled to last approximately one week.
Rt. 84 will be closed from St. John’s Bluff to River St./Ridge Rd. beginning Monday, August 24th from 8 am – 6 pm to remove debris from the river. Project to last for approximately three days (8/24 – 8/26). Detours will be posted.
TEMPORARY INSPECTION PROCEDURES DUE TO COVID-19 Updated July 20, 2020 Inspections in occupied homes for hot water tanks, furnaces, minor electrical improvements, etc. will be performed remotely. Inspections for home additions with access gained from the exterior of the house, new single-family dwellings and inspections for commercial construction will proceed as normal.
