The Lake County Board of Commissioners and Laketran, the regional public transportation authority, are partnering to improve transportation access for seniors to attend the plethora of activities offered at countywide Lake County senior centers. Effective January 2019, Laketran, with help from the Senior Services Levy, will be offering door-to-door, Dial-a-Ride transportation to and from any Lake County
Happy New Year! City offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 1st in observance of the holiday. Regular business hours resume on Wednesday, January 2nd.
Willoughby City Hall sledding Hill is available for use at your own risk. The hill closes at 10 pm and no intoxicating beverages.
2019 City Buildings and Facilities Closures Willoughby City Hall, Senior Center and Municipal Court will be closed on the following days Monday, January 21st – MLK Day Monday, February 18th – President’s Day Friday, April 19th – Good Friday May 27th – Memorial Day July 4th – Independence Day Sept 2nd – Labor Day
‘Tis the season to stroll through our historic downtown as we celebrate the holiday season! Shop local, and enjoy refreshments, entertainment and special promotions at participating merchants during the 2018 Holiday Stroll. Friday, November 30th from 4 pm – 8 pm and Saturday, December 1st from 10 am – 6 pm.
WILLOUGHBY FIRE DEPARTMENT / LAKE COUNTY UTILITIES: On or about April 1st, the Willoughby Fire Dept. will begin flushing fire hydrants throughout the City of Willoughby: Flushing will take place Monday through Thursday, weather permitting Flushing program is projected to last six weeks Signs will be posted in the areas that are to be flushed

2019 Yard Waste Collection Yard waste collection is April 1st through December 13th. It is picked up the same day as your regular trash pickup. Grass, leaves, twigs can be placed in biodegradable paper bags or in open garbage cans (no lids). Yard waste will not be collected if in plastic bags. Branches are not
